Dennis Neil Moore, 83, of Blair, Nebraska, passed away on November 20, 2024. A pioneer in computer-based business operations, Moore worked with major Midwest companies before personal computers became mainstream, implementing billing systems for organizations including the Colorado Department of Revenue, Davis Brothers, Earl May, Gurney’s, and Mid America Computer Corporation.
Born March 26, 1941, in Shenandoah, Iowa, to Owen and Eunice Moore, he graduated from high school in Englewood, Colorado, before serving honorably in the United States Air Force. After his military service, Moore built a career in early business computing applications across multiple states.
An avid collector of baseball cards, Moore enjoyed watching westerns and reading Louis L’Amour novels. He was known for his love of card games, particularly pinochle with friends.
He is survived by his wife Barbara; children Eric (Nancy) Moore, Jennifer (Donald) Scott, Aaron (Shelley) Moore, and Christopher (Quyen) Moore; nine grandchildren; brother Phillip (Kay) Moore; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Memorial services will be held Monday, December 2, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair. Arrangements by Campbell Aman Funeral Home.
