Gilbert Lee “Gil” Doeden, 77, of Lakeland Estates, Nebraska, passed away on December 18, 2024, at his residence.
Gil was born on November 30, 1947, in Nebraska City, Nebraska, to Hank and Edith Doeden. He grew up in the Valley, Nebraska area and graduated from Valley High School in 1966. Following graduation, Gil began his career with North Central Airline in Chicago, where he worked for several years. He later returned to Omaha and joined Vickers Hydraulics, where he remained until the plant’s closure in 2000. Gil then worked at Election Systems and Software in Omaha until his retirement in 2014.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Campbell Aman Funeral Home of Blair, Nebraska is handling the arrangements.
