The Washington County Chamber of Commerce has released its latest update, highlighting several community events and initiatives for the holiday season.
A) November 12, 2024:
- Artificial Intelligence Lunch and Learn, 12pm at Chamber Office
- Habitat for Humanity & Cargill “Stuff the Truck” Day, 4-7pm at Family Fare Parking Lot
B) November 14, 2024:
- Campbell-Aman Funeral Home VA Benefits and Funeral Planning, 10am
- Blair Meat Market Holiday Open House, 4-6pm
C) November 15, 2024:
- Deadline for Chamber Board Member nominations
- Deadline for Community Service Award nominations
- St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church Generational Healing Mass, 6:15pm
D) November 19, 2024:
- Memorial Community Hospital Lunch and Learn, 12-1pm
- Chamber and RVR Bank After Hours, 4-6pm at RVR Bank Blair Branch
E) November 21, 2024: Tannenbaum Festival, 5-7pm at BVFD South Station
F) November 28, 2024: St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church’s 14th Annual Free Thanksgiving Dinner, 11am-2pm
G) December 3, 2024: Washington County Gives Day
H) December 4, 2024: Washington County Chamber Monthly Ambassador Meeting, 12pm
I) December 6, 2024: End of Annual Medicare Open Enrollment period
J) January 16, 2025: Washington County Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Meeting
The Chamber is currently seeking nominations for its annual Community Service Award, to be presented at the Annual Meeting on January 16. Recipients will be selected based on their contributions to community-oriented projects, civic engagement, and promotion of Washington County.
The Tannenbaum Festival is seeking volunteers to donate soup for the event, with chicken noodle, mild chili, and vegetarian options needed. Those interested should contact the Chamber office at 402/533.4455.
The Chamber is also seeking new board members for the 2025-2027 term, with nominations due by November 15. Interested parties can submit completed Board of Directors Nomination Forms to director@Washingtoncountychamberne.com or mail them to the Chamber office.
Community events highlighted in the update include networking opportunities such as the AI Lunch and Learn and RVR Bank After Hours, as well as holiday celebrations including the Blair Meat Market Holiday Open House and St. Francis Borgia’s Thanksgiving Dinner.
The Chamber reminds members that the Medicare Open Enrollment period runs through December 6, encouraging residents to review their healthcare options by calling 402-380-9554 for comparisons.
