WASHINGTON COUNTY, NEBRASKA (SEPTEMBER 2, 2024) – The Washington County Chamber has announced a full calendar of events for September, featuring networking opportunities and community gatherings. The month’s headline event is the 5th Annual Business & Brews: Business Expo and Beer Tasting, scheduled for Thursday, September 5th at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church. This event combines a business expo with local beer tasting and food truck offerings, aiming to foster business connections in a relaxed setting.
The Chamber has organized several networking events throughout the month:
- Washington County Museum Chamber After Hours at The Frahm House on September 12th
- Tighe It With a Bow Coffee & Connections on September 17th
- Carter Place Senior Living Coffee & Connections on September 26th
These events are designed to facilitate relationship-building among local businesses.
In addition to Chamber-organized events, member organizations have scheduled several activities:
- The City of Blair will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Hollow Road South Bypass on September 5th
- Blair Lions Club’s 17th Annual Flight-4-Sight Golf Tournament is set for September 6th
- Ft. Calhoun Community Schools Foundation’s Annual Golf Tournament takes place on September 14th
- Crowell Memorial Home’s 23rd Annual Golf Scramble is scheduled for September 19th
- A Mental Health First Aid class, in partnership with Memorial Community Hospital, will be held on September 20th
The Rotary Club of Blair will host its 2nd Annual Brunch and Golf Fundraiser on September 20th, while ReliabilityWeb will conduct in-person workshops from September 24-27.
Community service initiatives include the Optimist Club of Blair’s Annual First Responders Appreciation Cookout on September 25th. The club is seeking donations to provide a steak dinner for local first responders.
For those interested in youth mentorship, the TeamMates of Blair program is actively recruiting new mentors to support local students.
