Following Monday’s School Board meeting, I reached out to Blair School Superintendent Dr. Randy Gilson seeking his response to public comments made by Ben Smith regarding allegations of bullying and inappropriate conduct in district schools. In response to my inquiry, Dr. Gilson provided the following statement via email:
“The investigation into these allegations is ongoing and being conducted in alignment with district policies. At this time, I am unable to comment on any personnel actions that may result from the investigation. However, I want to emphasize that the safety and well being of our students remain our highest priority. The district is fully committed to maintaining a safe and supportive environment and will continue to take all necessary steps to uphold this commitment.”
