Omaha-based A&J Designs, known for their unique, hand-painted wooden door hangers, found a new home for their products at V. Ferme boutique in Blair, Nebraska. The partnership between A&J Designs and V. Ferme offers Blair customers the opportunity to shop the exclusive line of door hangers in the newly-renovated, charming, industrial-style brick-and-mortar store at 1555 Washington Street.
Co-owned by sisters-in-law Amber Olstad and Jennifer Trevett, A&J Designs has been in the business of creating door hangers for a decade, primarily selling their products online and at craft fairs across Nebraska, Iowa, South Dakota, and Kansas. Their popular “Attachables” line features smaller, interchangeable door hanger designs with bows, offering customers a versatile and easy-to-store home décor option.
The collaboration with V. Ferme began when Amber and Jennifer met Christy Jaworski, the store’s owner, at a craft show where they had been vendor neighbors for at least four years. “This spring, while working alongside each other, she mentioned she was opening up a boutique and thought our product would be perfect for her store,” Jennifer explained. “She showed me pictures of the building, and I fell in love with it. It has such old, industrial charm!”
V. Ferme now carries a wide range of products, including jewelry, handbags, baby gifts, candles, and A&J Designs’ door hangers. The boutique is currently the only store near the Omaha metro area offering A&J Designs’ products. Jennifer enthused, “We hope that this can be an exclusive store for our customers to check out our one-of-a-kind signs and other unique and custom products that Christy has.”
Amber and Jennifer are excited about the collaboration with Christy, a fellow maker, and look forward to working together on future projects. Jennifer shared her optimism for the partnership, saying, “I love that Christy is a maker herself and therefore will be a great collaborator with her vendors. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for this shop.”
The partnership between A&J Designs and V. With the support of Christy Jaworski and the V. Ferme boutique, A&J Designs is poised to bring their creative door hangers to even more homes in the Blair, Nebraska area.
