Blair residents can create an elegant yet affordable dinner using Family Fare’s current sale ad running December 26 through January 4, 2025. All ingredients are available at the 238 S. 8th St. location.
The Menu
- Pan-seared New York Strip Steak ($6.99/lb)
- Fresh cucumber and cabbage salad
- Roasted potatoes with green onions
Total Cost: Under $15 for two servings with Family Fare card
Shopping List (all from current ad):
- Fresh NY Strip Steak: $6.99/lb
- Super Select Cucumbers: 79¢ each
- Fresh Green Cabbage: 99¢/lb
- North Dakota Red/Yellow Potatoes: $2.99/5lb bag
- Green Onions: 79¢/bunch
Cooking Instructions:
- Steak:
- Bring to room temperature
- Season with salt and pepper
- Sear 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare
- Rest 5 minutes before serving
- Fresh Salad:
- Thinly slice cucumber and cabbage
- Toss together
- Season to taste
- Potatoes:
- Quarter potatoes
- Toss with chopped green onions
- Roast at 400°F for 25-30 minutes
